Founder Jules Sauer became South America’s most respected specialist in emeralds and gemstones after discovering Brazil’s first emerald mine in 1963. His extensive work led to the international recognition of Brazilian emeralds and other colorful gemstones, opening doors to the global market. Jules Sauer was also a pioneer in promoting rare gems in the country and was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the International Colored Gemstone Association in 2007.

Sauer has always aimed to innovate without distancing itself from its DNA. With the Sauer family’s third generation at the helm since 2013, the brand is known for its originality and innovation in design while honoring its heritage. Sauer supports various cultural initiatives and institutions, promoting dialogues between viewers and creators. In New York, Sauer has been a sponsor of The Armory Show since 2022 and introduced the Sauer Art Prize to award breakthrough new talent. This year marks the third year of participation in The Armory Show and the opening of Sauer's first retail store in the US, located at 800 Madison Avenue, New York City.

Objective:

The sales consultant is responsible for providing our customers with exceptional service, understanding and meeting their individual needs and expectations, while also representing the brand's values and philosophy, acting as a Sauer ambassador.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales:

  • Offer an exceptional customer service experience, exceeding expectations through a deep knowledge of the products and the brand's history.
  • Personalize the customer experience to exceed their expectations, collaborating with the team and ensuring effective execution of the sales ceremony.
  • Achieve and surpass individual performance targets, ensuring a high standard of customer service and sales quality.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify potential future customers.
  • Support customers post-sale, offering assistance aligned with the brand's values and providing recommendations to enhance their experience.
  • Be a proactive team member, showing respect for colleagues, following guidelines, and providing feedback to promote the store's success and a positive work environment.
  • Possess persuasive skills to advise customers on trends in high jewelry and the luxury market, demonstrating passion for Sauer products and staying updated on the latest industry and competitor news.

Daily Operations:

  • Understand and comply with all brand operational and safety policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to maintaining the visual display of all products according to Sauer's visual standards.
  • Support store operations as needed, including price changes and administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in luxury retail sales, preferably in the jewelry sector or related areas such as hospitality or interior design.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales results.
  • Ability to relate to a diverse customer base.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM, or customer service systems.
  • Computer and internet literacy.

Behavioral Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and manage conflicts.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to multitask accurately.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with a friendly and respectful attitude.
  • Autonomy to work following corporate guidelines.
  • Interest and sensitivity to the world of luxury, fashion, art, and design.

Education:

  • University degree.
  • Proficiency in languages is highly desirable.
